Nü's Necklace

Nü's Necklace

In China, jade is considered good luck, and pearls are the ultimate symbol of femininity. The iris is a symbol of the bridge between heaven and earth. Therefore, I call this necklace Nü. Nü (or, with tones, nü3)means “woman”.
The iris-shaped clasp and the flowered pendant are both made of sterling silver. Next to the freshwater pearls, the pale green jade almost seems to glow in the light.
Approximately 20 1/2 inches (52 centimeters) long.

Freshwater pearls, new jade, sterling silver. $30.00.
